Yes. 1781 Brewing Co. is family friendly. Children are allowed on the property until 8 p.m. We welcome families with children, who must be under direct supervision at all times. To accommodate different preferences, we offer seating areas specifically for families with children, as well as areas for guests 21+ without children.

What unique amenities do you offer for visitors?
Our horseback riding program is perfect for those looking to explore the scenic beauty surrounding our brewery while enjoying a unique, outdoor activity. For a relaxing riding adventure, you can either visit the WRV Equestrian Center on Facebook or give Genevieve Lane a call at 540-455-3603. She'll tell you everything you need to saddle up.
May I bring balloons or confetti to decorate for a special event at the brewery?
While we love celebrating special occasions here, we don't allow balloons or confetti. This policy is based on safety concerns associated with loose balloons around our farm animals and the extensive cleanup required for confetti. We appreciate your understanding and encourage you to consider other forms of decorations that will contribute to a festive and safe environment for everyone.
When is last call?
Last call is 30 minutes before closing. Please arrive early enough to order and enjoy your time here.
Are there food options available?
Yes. Charcuterie and cheese plates are available for purchase on-site. Fresh panini sandwiches are coming soon! Guests are welcome to bring food, or order from nearby restaurants that regularly deliver to the farm. Additionally, from Friday through Sunday, we host a food truck rotation, each offering meals and quick snacks.
May I bring my own food and drinks?
Yes. We allow outside food at the farm, so feel free to bring your own meals or snacks to enjoy. Please leave Yeti, Stanley, Hydro Flask, and similar containers at home. This helps us stay compliant with our ABC license.
What kind of events do you host?
We host a variety of events here, including live music, food trucks, history programs, and seasonal festivals. To see what’s coming up, check out the Events page or visit us on Facebook.
How can musicians book performances at the farm?

To check on availability, and to reserve, please call 540-847-0199.
What is the significance of the year 1781 for the brewery?
The year 1781 holds a special place in our hearts. This year marks the pivotal victory at the Battle of Yorktown during the American Revolutionary War, which led to the independence of the United States. Just as the historic moment symbolizes freedom and new beginnings, we at 1781 Brewing Company embrace the spirit of innovation and independence in every batch of beer we create.
